1, Overview of Paddy Dryer
Paddy dryer is a drying equipment specifically designed for drying
paddy and rice grains. Due to paddy being a heat sensitive crop
with a unique structure (consisting of a hard outer shell and rice
grains), drying it is difficult.
2, Key processes
Tempering Process
The tempering process is to add a working section inside the grain
drying tower structure that does not supply hot air (or inputs a
small amount of cold air). By conducting heat at higher
temperatures through adjacent drying sections, the paddy slowly
undergoes moisture reduction during this process, with an actual
contact temperature of only 20-25 ℃, achieving the goal of
tempering. This helps to reduce the phenomenon of explosive waist.
High air volume low-temperature drying process
To ensure the quality of paddy after drying and reduce the rate of
bursting, a lower medium temperature (air temperature) should be
used, such as an input air temperature of ≤ 75 ℃ for air flow, so
that the actual contact temperature of rice is 35-38 ℃, ensuring
that the bursting rate of rice after drying is ≤ 2%. Due to the low
air temperature, if the air volume is not increased, it will lead
to a decrease in heat energy and production. Therefore, a larger
air volume must be input. Generally, the air volume of the air
supply fan configured for paddy dryer is more than 2.5 times that
of corn dryer, with an air volume of 0.5-0.7m³/s per 1000kg of paddy.
Speed limited drying process
Drying paddy too quickly or cooling it too quickly can easily cause
bursting. The drying rate is generally controlled below 1.5%, that
is, the hourly precipitation rate is ≤ 1.5%.

Combination drying process
Our paddy dryer adopts a combined drying process, such as using a
combination of concurrent flow and mixed flow drying methods based
on moisture reduction rate (8% -10%) and quality requirements. This
can fully balance the moisture inside and outside the grain, ensure
even moisture content after drying, reduce the rate of paddy
bursting, and ensure the quality after drying. At the same time,
the cross flow cooling method is adopted, and the wet grain reaches
the safe moisture level inside the machine at once, and is
discharged outside the machine after cooling.
